The owners knew they wanted a vintage/industrial look with the highest quality. That is when they called on Michael Deo from NatureScape Lighting. Michael had done previous lighting projects for the owners before on their main home and various landscape projects.

Mike got to watch the whole project come to life and after many great ideas, it grew into a very large project with a beautiful end result, which is now known as the Timber Frame Pool House.

Each beam of the Timber Frame structure was hand cut and hewed giving each beam a rustic and authenic look. Unique in structure, the Pool House boasts that there were no nails used during the assembly. The beams were pieced together and then held with wood pegs.

As the plans for the Pool House unfolded, Michael discussed lighting and suggested the fixtures that would soon be used for this project. With humidity and a wet environment to consider, Michael’s job was complex.

Michael remembered a series of fixtures from the TEKA Illumination Class he had been introduced to during B-K Lighting's B-K University event, (Class of Psi 2014). During the BKU event, he made note of the beautiful and sustainable fixtures used at Tenaya Lodge near Yosemite, California. The Tenaya Lodge had a similar look and feel the owners of the Timber Frame Pool House were looking for. It was a perfect match!

After presenting a few options to fit the owner’s needs, he then showed them the TEKA Beacon Stem Mount fixtures, in which the owners gave an immediate "Yes!". The Beacon Stem Mount fixture matched perfectly and met each of the goals for looks, color, and weather resistance.

The TEKA Illumination Screen Wall Mount fixtures were also used inside and outside, and the TEKA Miniature Beacon Pathlights along the outside walk ways.

Michael also needed an uplight fixture to illuminate the handcrafted ceiling beams and to illuminate the pictures on the walls. He turned to B-K Lighting's Nite Star and Delta Star for the job. The Nite Star™ was used to uplight the beams and the Delta Star™ to illuminate the wall pictures.

The combination of the TEKA Illumination and B-K Lighting fixtures illuminates the Timber Frame Pool House perfectly. The owners couldn't be happier with the outcome and their guests absolutely love staying there.
