MINI MICRO­™ SERIES TRANSITIONS TO BKSSL™

Madera, California - October 27, 2009 - As you may be aware, Sylvania has recently announced the discontinuation of its MiniStar® bi-pin halogen lamp. This lamp is used in B-K Lighting's Mini Micro™ family of products. Fortunately, Mini Micro™ products have always included a BKSSL™ solid-state source option in addition to the halogen lamp choice.

As a proactive measure, B-K Lighting recently purchased 100% of the available worldwide inventory of the MiniStar® halogen lamp. While we can continue to supply this lamp to our customers for some time, it is important that all new products be converted as quickly as possible to use BKSSL™ solid-state technology.

Accordingly, B-K Lighting will offer Mini Micro™ products exclusively with BKSSL™ sources effective December 1, 2009.

Through our GreenSource Initiative™, B-K Lighting encourages the use of high efficiency sources to cope with today's increasing energy demands and costs. Effective immediately, any existing halogen Mini Micro™ product qualifies for a 10% Efficacy Rebate when replaced with a new solid-state product by B-K Lighting. And if the halogen product is returned to B-K Lighting, an additional 10% Recycling Rebate will also be applied to the replacement order.
