QUESTION: What is a BKSSL® transformer?

ANSWER:

A transformer is an electronic or magnetic component required to energize low voltage sources (ie. halogen) for proper operation. A transformer converts the supply voltage from 120V, 230V, or 277V down to 12V, which is the typical voltage required by low voltage sources. Because a transformer is considered ‘one-to-many,’ a single transformer is able to power multiple fixtures within the transformer’s maximum capacity.

A BKSSL® transformer is required with our BKSSL® Power of ‘e’ low wattage sources. The BKSSL® transformer line consists of our electronic Tre20, or magnetic transformers from our TR series: TR60, TR150, TR300 or TR600.
