QUESTION: How many BKSSL® systems has B-K Lighting produced?

ANSWER:

B-K Lighting offered its very first solid state fixture in 2005 and with that release what we know of today as solid state BKSSL® technology was born. As of October 2014 there are three distinct solid state systems which are produced by B-K Lighting.

The first is the Power of 'e' which includes many 2 1/4" bodied fixtures like Delta Star™, Artistar™, Nite Star™, our Mini-Micro™ Series, and many of our core drill products such as Chart Star™ and even path lights like Glow Star™. Adjust-e-Lume™ is part of this family for use with e22 – e27 and e36 fixtures, providing dynamic lumen adjustment at individual fixtures. Many of Power of 'e' fixtures can be globally dimmed with properly configured magnetic Low Voltage dimmer controls.

The second addition the BKSSL® family is the phenomenal Power of 'X' with its near-perfect, cold-phosphor generated white light. The flagship luminaire of this source has been Denali™ until 2014 but is now joined by ArtiStar™ with Power of 'X'. This new variation produces 900 lummens in both the Integral and Remote supplies in ArtiStar's™ three distinct mounting conditions.

The third solid state system is the newly christened Power of 'C' which provides dynamically controlled, close tolerance, color tunability module that replicates a continuous wide spectrum of natural light. Power of 'C' offers ultimate light and color controls in one of three high-tech configurations: wired, wireless and hybrid controls. Included fixtures of this family are K2™ Series, and Precision 2® in-grades.
